T.G.I.F. For real.

For some reason this week has had my mind on the ocean and surfing and somehow wishing I could be near the sea on a sunny, hot day. I miss those days of my toes in the sand {and maybe a beer in my hand} and the salt air in my hair... and then I started thinking about when I worked for Quiksilver, it was such a great job {but the lowest pay ever, sorry that part of it sucked} and the vibe was always great and I loved being around chill people all day, it mostly reminded me of high school, really. It just made things easy. And in this box of pictures that I recently came across, I found a couple snapshots from those days; I was 24 and living in Miami. It was so awesome.

Also I wanted to share a couple favorite surf inspired spots in the city, Reunion and Saturdays and a favorite website to get my ocean fix on those days when I’m in desperate need of some ocean time… check out Dane Peterson’s photography blog. Amazing images and so inspiring.

when night life was the muppet show

Coming across these pictures made me remember I really did always love dressing up and the color pink and anything sparkly. This was just a random day at my Grandparents house, no real reason to dress up other than wanting to... and the other photo shows that I had my ears pierced! Crazy to me because shortly after this, I took those earrings out, my holes closed up and I never wore earrings again {unless they’re clip-on!}. Most people think it’s strange that I don’t have my ears pierced but I never really notice it myself; without bracelets or rings on though, I’d feel naked!

And the best thing about Flashback Fridays... is that it's FRIDAY. Actin fool cause it’s FRIDAY yo!

just a good excuse

Random spot close enough to Times Square to say it’s in Times Square. Delish enough though to stop in for a quick bite and a drink {but only if you are craving fried, cheesy and maybe a little greasy food}.

Also been thinking of new things to add to the blog when last night I found some old photos. And with that Flashback Fridays will be in full effect as of today! I was such a little hippie in High School… this is me getting my first car for my 16th B-day… a 1972 Volkswagen Bus… yes, it was awesome.
