follow your dreams and try new things

New things coming this year… crafting something each month, more about NYC, a 365 project, more photography, a little more glitter & pink lipstick and in general posting more consistently. Last year I decided to do something new each month - this year, I'm doing the same except the actions {of doing something new} will be intentional. Last year was such a whirlwind of newness that I didn't really have to think about what I was doing, almost everything I did was a new experience. This year I want to live with more intention. Not so much a resolution because don't we always just fail at those? But still a thought and something to work towards. New 2013 list coming soon!
Remember :: follow your dreams. try new things. work hard. and great things will come to you. Life isn't always positive and full of happiness but if you focus on the amazing things you do and create, life can be pretty awesome.

Trying something new… the above photos were taken with a Holga for Nikon DSLR lens. So far I've learned that this lens prefers to have a lot of natural light and I was testing indoors with very low light for these photos. However, I like the David Lynch-esque feel that it gives off. That's all I keep thinking of when I look through the set. Then below, for something completely opposite and filled with light and bright, is testing an SB-700 Nikon speedlight and I love it, love it. More to come soon. Having so much fun with my new camera additions! The holidays often bring such magical surprises, don't they?

{lipstick is MAC  dare to wear lipglass in GIMME THAT!}
