I don’t think I’ve ever talked about my favorite jokester, so here goes… for those of you that have heard of Aaron Karo then your Monday mornings are filled with great laughs while sitting at your desk {the only thing to look forward to that sits in my inbox on monday am} and for those of you who have not, then listen up and laugh along!
Last year for my 30th Birthday, a friend gave me one of his books, I’m Having More Fun Than You. I have not laughed so much when reading a book, I recommend it to all. So with that, the discovery of Aaron Karo for me. Now a 30-something living in LA via NYC, he just had his first Comedy Central special air last friday and I got to {half} watch the screening at a bar where he was getting drunk himself. The party was at Pourhouse on 46th St and I say only half watched because by the time the second commercial break came around, everyone was back into their drunken converstaions {did I mention there was an open bar} talking so loud, you couldn’t even hear him over the surround sound. This is a bar that has a DJ and plays sports. We were a loud bunch, I guess you could say. But that's ok because I can buy it on itunes now! All in all, it was a good friday night… Karo status updated his whereabouts saturday afternoon {i.e. see my blog title) and my night ended with stealing borrowing another local bars silverware and a few other things but… that’s a story for another time.
Happy {it’s a short week} Tuesday!!
"This is the very first rumination to ever be posted to the site! It’s kind of weird to launch a new web site and be the only registered user. It's kind of like throwing a party and hoping that people will actually show up. In both instances, the only thing you can do is wait – and know that no matter what happens, in about two hours you’ll be outrageously drunk anyway."
